My Resume - My LinkedIn ProfileThis article rules. People who judge Linux by heresay, M$ FUD, or old experience (even a few months old) need to try a current distro before they can beat on Linux too hard. Especially if they tried the wrong distro. Danijel Orsolic++

Let’s compare the two:
When I want to install Windows XP i have to:
– install a Firewall
– install a virusscanner
– install a spyware/adware cleaner
– install an office suite
– install firefox
– install video drivers
And on the long run:
– install updates
– defrag the harddrives
– scan for virusses
– scan for spyware/adware
– fix all random glitches that appear without me changing a thing
– reboot from a hang, or when the system starts to slow down
– BUY a new version of Windows, because all new software need all the “new” features of Vista

Installing SUSE:
– install propietary video drivers
And on the long run:
– Install updates
