SA’s first Linux training academy

Now THIS is way cool. South Africa has its own Linux training school. That is super neat. Students will get a bunch of hands-on training and will emerge with an LPI certification.

Excerpt:

“In a first for South Africa, Linux Holdings have launched a full-time Linux Training Academy.”

“Kin Le Roux, MD of Linux Holdings explained that the Linux curriculum consists of four months full time Linux training and then a six months internship at an open source related company.”

“The four months training will consist of 35% lectures and 65% practicals, after which the students will write their Linux Professsional Institute (LPI) level one exams.”
