SUSE Linux 10.1 system updater

by @ 1:36 pm. Filed under SUSE Blog News

I really love SUSE 10.1. As many people have said, one of the things that is broken, though, is the screwed up package manager. Man, that is enough to make me batty. I know I’m not the only one, either, as evidenced by the handful of articles like Singing the OpenSUSE package manager blues by Steven J. Vaughan-Nichols. What’s funny, though, is that openSUSE refers to the project, not the Linux distribution. That is simply called SUSE Linux as of 10.1. If everyone could pass that on, it wouldn’t become one of my 43 volumes of pet peeves. Whoops, too late.

Also, I’m flying out tonight to move my parents from Illinois to Utah, where I live. Yay. I get to drive a 24′ moving truck 55 miles per century for 1500 miles. Woot.

That just means that I will check in and post as I can. Maybe I’ll bring you back something from Illinois.

I could update some packages using apt, found a way on\.list&st=20
Be sure to look at the new 10.1 part.

Just be smart and use smart. Until they have fixed it.
    Pascal’s rpm’s are the cure 🙂
